I’ve done the one thing that everyone has been telling me to do for years. I made it stop and redefined a relationship. It makes me sound whiny and 13, but it was difficult. It’s not something I wanted to do, it just came about. Maybe he was right, maybe I did just like the idea of him. I drew the line, he crossed it, so why do I feel so bad? I was never crazy and we did things together that were the equivalent of a relationship. It was the longest “relationship” I ever had. I know that this will be good for me, it will set me free. Right now though I’m hurting. I hate hurting, I’m so used to having the upper hand. I hate feeling, there’s too many bad things to feel, I miss being numb. I wish that it wasn’t 4 o’clock in the morning and I wish that I wasn’t still up crying. This was the right decision. THIS. WAS. THE. RIGHT. DECISION. 

So why does it feel like an “I told you so”?
